Information about your Riding Holidays

Welcome to our Riding Centre and our Accommodation!

Arrival and departure day is Saturday. During the day all new guests arrive here while those staying longer will have their usual riding program.

Breakfast on Sunday is at 10 o’clock. Transfers to the Riding Centre will be provided around quarter to 12, so that everybody will be at the stables at 12 o’clock. We will have a little introduction there followed by explaining everything around the yard and the riding programmes. Lunch will be at 2 o’clock and the first ride will be on Sunday afternoon after 3 pm. This will be an easy ride for about 2 hours to get to know the horses and the countryside.

People staying more than 1 week will not ride on Sunday, because our horses have to work hard all week and need a day to relax. Other activities such as pony games or possibly excursions will be provided.

Breakfast during the week is at 9 am.

All guests will be put into groups. There will be rides morning and afternoon, same as English classes, depending on how many students are booked. Timetables for both English lessons and rides will be at the desk in the office at the Centre.

All guests on the riding holiday program can have 1 cross country lesson per week if they wish, which is instead of the normal ride out. Extra lessons can be booked.

Lunch is at 2 pm and dinner will be at around 7 pm.

If you have any questions or if you would like to do something special like extra Jumping lessons or a riding lesson instead of a ride out, please contact a member of staff.

  1. SPEAK ENGLISH!!!
  1. Follow advise of our staff!
  1. Helmets have to be worn for every ride, even to bring the ponies back to the fields! No jewellery such as long earrings or necklaces to be worn! No chewing gums while riding!
  1. No cross country jumping in our course or the forest without back protectors!
  1. Keep the place tidy, use waste bins!
  1. Keep an eye on your horse and tell us, if you notice a problem like injuries or loose shoes!
  1. All mounting in the sand arena for inspection!
  1. Mobile phones have to be switched off during English lessons. They may be carried on rides at own risk.
  1. Please contact a member of staff if there is any problem when it comes up! There is no point in letting it get worse!

  1. Keep the house tidy! No dirty riding boots / clothes in the rooms.
  1. No smoking!
  1. Mobile phones and other valuables are to be kept in own rooms at own risk.
  1. No use of the landline phone except of emergency. Parents have to contact their kids on their own mobile phones.
  1. Bedtime is at 11 pm. Stay in your own rooms after that and be very quiet!
  1. Treat everything carefully and try not to break anything!
  1. No visiting of boys in girls rooms or girls in boys rooms! You can meet in common rooms.
  1. Breakfast is at 9 am, Sundays at 10 am. Lunch is at 2 pm and dinner at around 7 pm.
  1. If you have special wishes in regard of food or anything else, please let us know!

     

     

    IMPORTANTE riguardo EDUCAZIONE & DISCIPLINA mentre siete a SLIEVE AUGHTY RIDING CENTRE
    Staff & proprietario Esther Zyderlaan fanno di tutto per rendere vostro soggiorno positivo e felicissimo, nonché con netti miglioramenti nella vostra Inglese e anche equitazione. Richiedano semplice buona educazione & rispetto per /alle loro richieste sia durante le lezioni equestre che inglese che nel tempo libero. Se lo studente non risponde positivamente alle richieste disciplinari, le soluzioni sono come segue:

    1. I genitori o l’adulto responsabile per lo studente saranno richiesti di parlare direttamente con il/la Studente eseguendo buona educazione & la sua massima collaborazione.
    2. Il/la studente in questione sarà messo in alloggio separato da altri ragazzi, anche se era prenotato l’alloggio nel centro equestre o in residence, o family con altri studenti.

          3)  Se non migliore la situazione entro lo stesso giorno della richiesta da parte dello staff del centro, il studente dovrà rientrare immediatamente con costi (volo & trasferimento al aeroporto) al carico dei genitore o responsabile per il/la studente. Nessun rimborso per l’eventuale rimanente periodo del soggiorno sarà effettuato, per nessun motivo.
